The Department of Instrumentation Engineering was established in the year 1984 with an intake of 60 students. Post graduate program of Instrumentation and Control Engineering, was inducted in the year 2003, with an intake of 18 students.
The department is well equipped with state-of-art Process Instrumentation and Transducers lab which helps students to get hands-on experience on many pilot plant set-ups. This gives them the added advantage to easily adapt themselves to the industrial environment further to placements and to perform well.
The department has faculty members with varied research interests ranging from process control, control systems, embedded systems, bio-medical, nuclear instrumentation, internet of things, machine learning and artificial intelligence, who help and guide students to undertake good quality projects and also pursue higher studies in varied domains.
The department also trains students on many latest technologies through certificate courses and workshops and also provides ample opportunities for the student’s holistic development, in order to achieve its vision of creating proactive, noble personalities and its mission of providing superior education.
