Welcome to the Department of Automation and Robotics at VESIT. The department has been established in the academic year 2022-23, with an intake of 60 students.

The department is well equipped with sophisticated Automation lab, which helps students to get hands-on training on industry grade software's and systems. The department is also well equipped with state-of-art Process Instrumentation and Transducers lab which could be used by students to get hands-on experience on many pilot plant set-ups.

The department has faculty members with varied research interests ranging from automation, control systems, embedded systems, robotics, internet of things, machine learning and artificial intelligence, which provides students with opportunities to take up good quality projects in collaboration with research institutions such as BARC, TIFR, IIT-B and to pursue higher studies in these varied domains. The department also has tie-up with well-known organizations like, Automation Industries Association, National Instruments and Panache Digilife, for conducting certificate courses and project implementation.

The department has strong contacts with recruiters and experts from Automation and Process Industries, which will provide ample opportunities for students, to get internships and to get absorbed into core industries.
